Michael Tucker Joins the Kelberman Team

The Kelberman Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Tukcer, MA to the position of Director of Special Projects. Tucker joins the leadership team of the Kelberman Center 20 years in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Tucker has served as a Mentor at the Kansas Institute for Positive Behavior Support and coordinated the development of a Texas network for the Association of Positive Behavior Support. Michael began his career in New York at YAI—NIPD, and has since had the opportunity to work in the IDD service systems of California, Kansas, and Texas. While his initial experience focused on providing individualized behavior support planning, he later moved into roles involving the management of agency support services. Tuckers holds an MA in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University.

In his new role at the Kelberman Center, Tucker oversees multiple projects within the agency including a partnership program with Syracuse University which pairs intellectually and developmentally disabled Syracuse University students with a Kelberman Center Peer Mentor. Peer Mentors are Syracuse University students who provide support in and out of the classroom, fostering a truly inclusive university experience.
