Representatives from the Kelberman Center and Carbone Auto Group recently gathered for a check presentation of over $26,000 to the Kelberman Center. The donation was the result of the annual Subaru Share the Love event. Over the last 12 years, through the Share the Love Event, Subaru of America and its participating retailers have donated more than $176 million to charity, with customers choosing between four national and over 1,200 hometown charities. The Kelberman Center is the local charity selected by Carbone Subaru as part of this national campaign.
The City Dwellers Motorcycle Club recently donated $5,500 to The Kelberman Center to support programs and services for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The money was raised through a motorcycle ride and event where over 150 people participated. The City Dwellers Motorcycle Club prides itself on commitment to their families, club and good work throughout the community. Thank you to Controlled Waste Systems, Inc. (CWSI) who also contributed significantly to this fundraiser, and Full Throttle BBQ in Yorkville who provided lunch that day. The Humpf family of Holland Patent recently raised over $4,000 through a bottle and can drive to support programs and services at The Kelberman Center. Their drive collected a record number of over 68,000 bottles and cans! The Humpfs have been long-time supporters of The Kelberman Center and have expressed that the Kelberman Center has provided them with opportunities which have helped their entire family navigate through the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Officers Tom Medlin and Jeff Buckley of the Rome Police Department recently presented a check to The Kelberman Center in the amount of $4,055. The gift was in support of programs and services for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. Officer Medlin in particular has been a friend and past supporter of the Kelberman Center, raising autism awareness and support in the Rome community through yearly sale of Rome Police Department autism awareness patches. Officers Medlin and Buckley also participated in the Kelberman Center’s 2020 virtual Walk for Autism which occurred throughout June, helping Team Rome Police Department in its fundraising efforts in support of the Kelberman Center.
